A full back wax covers the entire back from the shoulders down to the waistline, including the sides. A partial treatment focuses on just one section, typically the upper back and shoulders or the lower back only. Partial sessions are shorter, cost less, and suit clients who only have hair growth in one area.
Trimming is not necessary and is counterproductive if it leaves hair too short for the wax to grip. Hair should be between five millimetres and two centimetres long for best results. If your hair is longer than two centimetres, the therapist can trim it at the salon before beginning the treatment.
For the first 24 hours, avoid tight clothing, intense exercise, saunas, and direct sunlight on the treated area. From day two onwards, gentle exfoliation two to three times a week can help prevent ingrown hairs and keep the skin smooth. A light moisturiser applied daily between sessions keeps the skin in good condition for the next appointment.
