Best Barbershop near me in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh

Kasganj is a young district in western Uttar Pradesh, carved out in 2008, with Soron on the Ganga as its pilgrimage anchor and a market town at the centre that serves a wide farming belt. Life is unhurried and the barbershop is a social fixture: a bench outside, tea from the stall next door, a queue that talks about cricket and sugarcane prices. The shops are mostly family-run, with a few newer salons aimed at younger men.

A cut at a Kasganj barber costs ₹80 to ₹180, a beard trim ₹60 to ₹150, and a hot-towel shave ₹80 to ₹180. The newer unisex salons charge ₹250 to ₹450 for a cut and wash, and colour or grey blending is ₹400 to ₹1,000. Head massage is often included with a shave. Skin fades are a mixed bag, so look at photos before committing. For premium grooming most men head to Aligarh or Bareilly, each about two hours away.

Salonist replaces the token system with a booked chair. Kasganj barbers who list on the app show live availability, accept in-app UPI payment and carry reviews and photos from customers who sat there last week. The platform serves 15,000+ businesses across 60+ countries with 2 million+ reviews. Book for Sunday mornings and pilgrimage weekends, when men passing through to Soron fill the chairs; Tuesday to Thursday afternoons are wide open, and the app shows those quiet slots too.

Wedding season from November to February is when Kasganj barbers earn their reputation, doing groom packages with cut, colour, facial and shave for ₹600 to ₹1,200, sometimes at the venue. Diwali and Holi bring a rush the week before. Students commuting to college in Etah and Budaun ask for the cuts they see there. Kids' Sunday cuts are ₹50 to ₹120. The shops worth keeping are the ones with fresh blades, clean towels and a barber who remembers your name.
