W14 02 is one of those sector codes that covers a stretch of ordinary Abu Dhabi housing, low blocks and villas set behind boundary walls with parking along the front. It is a fine place to keep a dog and a poor place to bath one, particularly anything above knee height. Salonist lists the mobile groomers and clinics that drive out here with a fully kitted van, with live diaries and reviews. Owners generally start from the wider pet grooming options in W14 02 page.
A proper appointment is methodical. The groomer checks coat and skin, combs out the loose undercoat, works through knots by hand, then bathes the dog, dries it fully and shapes the coat with clippers or scissors to suit the breed. Nails are done, ears cleaned and the sanitary area trimmed. A short-coated dog is through in about an hour, while a big coat with a de-shed takes beyond two. When the local van is booked, dog grooming in W15 02 covers much the same ground.
Budget roughly AED 130 to 205 for a small dog, AED 170 to 280 for a medium and AED 250 to 455 for a large breed, with size and coat density driving the difference. A dog needing hours of de-matting is quoted on the day, and the journey is charged separately. It is sensible to check dog grooming in W17 01 as well.
Care afterwards is common sense adapted to the climate. Give a freshly clipped dog a week away from midday sun and hot ground, since pads and pale skin burn faster than owners expect. Between grooms, brush twice a week to counter the drying effect of air conditioning, and check between the toes for sand after walks. The same points come up at dog grooming in W24 02.
No groomer holds a licence at an address inside this sector, so mobile is the practical route and how most of the capital works anyway. On Salonist you see who is free, book without ringing anyone, pay in the app afterwards and read what other owners thought. If you want a wider choice, dog grooming in W4 is not far.
