E7 sits among the numbered sectors that make up the working side of the capital, a mix of low-rise housing, offices and small commercial units. Plenty of the flats and villas here have a cat, and a good many of those cats are Persians or half-Persians with fur that knots in a fortnight. Salonist lists the mobile groomers and veterinary clinics taking cat bookings in the area, with live diaries and reviews you can actually read. Begin at the pet grooming options in E7 page.
A full appointment covers a health and coat check, thorough brushing, de-matting where the fur has felted, a wash if the cat allows one, a blow-dry, claws, ears and a sanitary trim. Where matting has gone too far, a lion cut is kinder than an hour of tugging. Allow around sixty minutes, sometimes ninety for a difficult coat. See also cat grooming in E8.
Because this sits close to the prime island districts, expect to pay a shade over Dubai rates: roughly AED 105 to 180 for a short-haired cat, AED 150 to 255 for a long-haired one and AED 230 to 390 for a full clip. De-matting time and mobile call-outs are extra. cat grooming in E9 01 is priced along similar lines.
After a clip the cat loses a good deal of its insulation, and homes and offices here run the cooling hard, so put a fleece or a covered bed somewhere out of the draught. Three brushings a week keeps the new growth from felting again. Older cats in particular struggle to hold their body heat once the fur has gone. Travelling in the heat is the other thing to watch, which is why home visits are popular here and around cat grooming in E9 02.
Nobody is currently based in E7 itself, so bookings are fulfilled by vans and clinics that drive in, usually within fifteen or twenty minutes. That changes slowly as more providers list with Salonist. There are no phone calls to make, payment sits in the app and ratings come from verified customers. cat grooming in East 5 rounds out the nearby choices.
